The Medical Books say...

Marcus went to see a retina specialist, where he learned that part of getting "un-young" is that the gel under the retina breaks up, causing spots that may go away, but are not affecting his vision. So Marcus ask if he needed to curtail any activities. The Dr. explained that anything more that a footstep is considered high impact, but that he needed to remain busy. It would be up to Marcus, but the Dr. wasn't fond of the sky-diving activity. Marcus continue to question the Dr, not getting a firm enough answer. Finally the Dr. ask if Marcus was an engineer.
Marcus replied that he had an engineers mind, but was a pilot. The Dr. replied, "Our books in Medical school said that Pilots and Engineers were very precise people." I think that was a nice way of saying "hard-headed." It was really funny.

That reminded me of the time I went with Marc as he played golf. He straddled an ant bed (Texas size) to hit his golf ball. The 2 older team-mates kept telling him to move his ball. Finally, one of the men turned to me and said, "Is he from East Texas?"

So, an East-Texas Pilot, what a combination! He keeps life interesting and fun.

Surprise Visit

Myra, Patrick and Morgandy surprised Alex,
as we went to see him in West Side Story.
He is terrific! We always come away so impressed!

The other highlight of the week-end was Morgandy!
Wish I had the camera when....

She chased the birds in the Atrium
Wanted some french fries from a young man
Wanted to pick the flower pattern off the carpet
Gestured several times for us to "come here"
Walked directly to our room, 4 doors down from their room.
Walked the halls, over and over again.

She doesn't let her pacifer keep her from talking...
She said tickle, tickle, tickle, thank you and ask "this?" as she points
to doors, floors, sinks, trash can, walls, shower curtains & shower.
We played that game over and over.
Her Papa ask if she was a princess and she always shook her head yes.

It was all so fun, only wish that our Lana & Nathan could have joined us.
It will happen, and then the time together will be complete.

Visiting Alex

Uncle Alex shares his warm hat...really cool!

Multi-tasking... balancing paper lid, holding shoes,
watching t.v. and staying cool...the hotel heat was horrible,
even with the heater off and the window cracked.

Navy Pier greeting by the Raggedy's and Pooh

Navy Pier Atrium... lots of room to run and play.
