The Medical Books say...
Marcus went to see a retina specialist, where he learned that part of getting "un-young" is that the gel under the retina breaks up, causing spots that may go away, but are not affecting his vision. So Marcus ask if he needed to curtail any activities. The Dr. explained that anything more that a footstep is considered high impact, but that he needed to remain busy. It would be up to Marcus, but the Dr. wasn't fond of the sky-diving activity. Marcus continue to question the Dr, not getting a firm enough answer. Finally the Dr. ask if Marcus was an engineer.
Marcus replied that he had an engineers mind, but was a pilot. The Dr. replied, "Our books in Medical school said that Pilots and Engineers were very precise people." I think that was a nice way of saying "hard-headed." It was really funny.
That reminded me of the time I went with Marc as he played golf. He straddled an ant bed (Texas size) to hit his golf ball. The 2 older team-mates kept telling him to move his ball. Finally, one of the men turned to me and said, "Is he from East Texas?"
So, an East-Texas Pilot, what a combination! He keeps life interesting and fun.
