Fun Reminders

I am reminded of the influence watching TV had on Alex,
every time I come across Aunt Jemima products at the store.
Sitting at the breakfast table, eating pancakes, 3 yr old Alex,
pointed to the picture on the Aunt Jemima syrup bottle, and said,
"Look, Momma, There's Bill Cosby."
He still makes us laugh!

Today, there was an auction at church... which reminded me
of the time Lana bid for a "pie a month", helping Chris Blessing
and I was having a cow, wondering where she was going to get the
money.

I love this gift and the reminder that real soon, a new
precious name will complete the list.

These sweet kids remind me of a joy, bigger than I ever
imagined.
I am grateful for fun reminders of abundant blessings.

Noisy Quiet!

I miss Bretton climbing under and over all things within his reach.
I miss the remote control swipper.

I miss the sweet girl that "is a good Mommy"
I miss books in every room and "Grams, will you read to me."

I miss the fun times and entertainment of just loving and
enjoying each other.
I miss the little pilot that could make the plane go side ways and
backwards.

As today has been crazy quiet, and things return to there place,
I still hear sweet noise of two wonderful grandchildren.
No doubt, as they start a new adventure, in a new place,
They will have the guidance of two awesome parents.
Ready for lots more great times ahead, when quiet isn't so
noisy.

If I only had a camera at Church...

The past few Sundays at church, I've seen a bit of transformation in Morgandy.

She had a hard time understanding the wisdom of Solomon when he acted like he was going to cut the baby in half... ( "it's wrong to play a trick on others," she said) I understand her confusion.

I wanted to record the Sunday she sat in her Mom's lap and sang, "Surround us, Lord" ...it was precious.

Communion was a novelty to her, and she ask why everyone was eating crackers. Then she just had to lick the leftover juice in the cup.

The conversation surrounding communion has been extensive, in a 4 yr old way, so she finally planned her own communion this past Sunday. She had a fish cracker, then bowed her head, folded her hands and thought of Jesus. Then she had a drink of water, and did the same thing.
It made me appreciate the simple love of a child. She shines with the desire to express worship to God.

As she pays more attention, in worship service, she ask why that man (the song leader) was waving his hand?

Watching this sweet girl is a precious connection to God's love. I am blessed and transformed by her love.
