Do We Get To Choose?

Brent Adams....
considers it pure joy, with the trial he faces,
knowing that the testing of his faith develops
perseverence, which works to grow his
relationship with God and share it will
others.

As I listen to this young man speak of his life
changing event, a dirt bike ride that he had
spent his life enjoying, I had a question creep
up with tears.

Do we get to choose?
Do we get to choose the kind of trails that
come our way? Mostly not!

But after his time of anger, pleading, bargaining,
crying and begging, I pray to live with the same
outcome as Brent strives to do.

Against all odds, he walks!
Against all hardships, he knows God's love.
Against all limitations, he has none with God.

Was this the way he wanted to testify God's goodness.
He didn't get to choose, but now cries with thanksgiving
because of God's love for him.

We may not get to choose where we are, but how
are.

God bless you, Brent!
