One Stop Shopping

No, this is not a messy room. This is a well planned out
store. All you need is a shopping bag. The owner, Morgandy,
lets you know that you can buy anything you want, FREE!
Need a car, Cinderalla dress, baby doll, books or stuffed animals?
Take your pick and fill up your bag. You are invited to come again,
and if you don't need anything else, then you can shop for the needy.
It is magical when the books transform to other languages for
children in other countries. She has something for everyone.
I love shopping, and will cherish this special shop and it's owner.
I figure this store will not always be open, she is growing so fast.
It is a pleasure to shop at Morgandy's One Stop Shopping.

The Family....Thanksgiving & Christmas

The post below, is some of the pictures taken while in Chicago for Thanksgiving. For whatever reason, it would not allow me to write about each picture. Our family has a wonderful time together, but in all that busyiness, we fail to take family photo's. My girls are the best cooks ever! We took turns doing the meals and it was great. Getting to be with those 3 precious kids was delightful. Bretton needed to be on my lap anytime someone else was with me. He decided to call me "Bee" and it was with pure delight in his voice...more than I deserved. Morgandy wondered why we couldn't just live with them, she has my heart for sure. Hudson gives smiles freely, and I want that spirit to grow with him.

Alex had another outstanding play and we are so impressed with his skills & talent. He is a good man and that is what I am most proud of.

My grandkids have such awesome daddies and I love the fun they have with them.

I ask myself 10 times a day, "How did I ever raise 3 kids." I don't recall all the hard work, but being showered with hugs and "kids saying the funniest things" evens it out for sure.
Lana and Myra are doing great jobs in showing those kids the love of the Lord.

Scroll on down and see some of the fun we had together.

The fun stuff is...

The fun stuff is when Bretton plays hide and seek, with open fingers over his eyes
and follows me to my hiding place. Or when he wants to bounce grapes on the tray.
When he loves to dance or tear apart legos. Priceless!

The fun stuff is when Morgandy tells me if I sing a song to much,
it will get stuck in her head. Or after the worker at a resturant is
asking Mo about her 5th birthday, then Morgandy turns to me and says
"If she doesn't quick talking and get to work, she will be in trouble."
She is eager to tell anyone, that she just turned 5.

Priceless and Precious!

Mymuh's Pineapple cake.

We just returned from Marc's family celebration, honoring the 100 birthday of his late parents.
It's always a great time to connect, watch the kids enjoy each other and eat lots of good food.
This year, Twila shared the recipe of their grandmother's favorite cake, always made for the reunions in the past.

Had to try that it....
and love the original recipe

Pineapple Cake

Yellow cake mix (even 60 yrs ago)

Topping:

Hand full of flour
Butter (size of an egg) (3 TBSP)
Glass of water (3/4 cup)
Small can of crushed pineapples

In skillet melt butter and mix with flour.
Add water and a cup of sugar
Then add crushed pineapples.

It was very yummy and I'm glad that Twila was able to translate the recipe.
It's always fun to share recipes from the past and feel connected to those that are so special to the family.

Best reasons not to blog...part 2

Haven't had a lot of time to blog recently...
but can there be a better reason
than these precious ones?
