Noah Ark and more

through Morgandy's play
God said load the ark with animals
and food, so my plastic food will do.
Wonder who will eat the ice cream cone?

so finally we can leave the ark,
and I know there was a rainbow

on the mountain, we feel like
"Kings of the world"

Papa didn't come on this helicopter,
because "the door is closed and
it is to small."

Priceless!

Everyone wants a picture of my shirt,
here's half of it, covering up "Big"

A greeting for her Daddy
"Daddy's home!"

The wheels on the bus go round & round,
and Papa talks like Donald Duck
and wiggles his ears.

Cover my month when I laugh out of control,
so I can sound like an Indian

My after nap video time.

why does everyone want to see my
"BIG SIS" shirt?

I loved it when Morgandy wasn't understanding
what I said and let me know...
"I don't know what your talking about!"

or when Myra and I sat in the backseat with her,
and Marcus and Patrick were in the front seat...
"Look, we make a triangle with Daddy and Papa"
(Almost right)

or, when something was said and her response was...
"That sounds like a good idea!"

It's the time together that is priceless!

She would like this.

Bertelle... Behind her new home.
With her brother, Owen Craig at Mackey Reunion
Easter, 1997
With Marcus at the Mackey Reunion

I bought a book while in Savannah, and think of Bertelle
everytime I read it.
Bertelle would agree with George Washington's
110 Rules of Civility and Decent Behaviour...
Here's a few of them.

1.Every action done in company ought to be with
some sign of respect to those who are present.

2. When in company, put not your hands to any part
of the body, not usually discovered.

22. Show not yourself glad at the misfortune of
another, though he were your enemy.

44. When a man does all he can though it succeeds
not well blame not him that did it.

58. Let your conversation be without malice or envy,
for it is a sign of a tractable and commendable nature;
and in all cases of passions admit reason to govern.

73. Think before you speak; pronounce not imperfectly
nor bring out your words too hastily, but orderly & distinctly.

Not only would she like the wording of these rules,
but she mastered the context of them.

I love that sweet memories of our love ones comes
from simply reading something or seeing a plant,
hearing a song, or watching the same traits in other
family members.

Thank you, Ben

For your compassion for others
and passion to teach and learn.

This week, I have taken your words to heart.
You came home from a rough day
and I ask you if stuff like this makes you ready to
return to America.
You replied with great wisdom...

"You don't quit just because things are hard."

Even though life is so good to me,
I don't like when stuff is hard.
So, for now, I will take your advice,
knowing that my "Hardships" are foolish
compared to what you & Kym endure
daily to show God's love to others.

Like Nathan, when I think of you
and my entire family,
It's just right to say,
"Good Job, God!"

Love You!

Facebook Thoughts

Today, I read a few entries on my Face book that are inspiring, thought provoking and encouraging.

**One friend ask who had read the health reform bill? Wow! that opened a Pandora's box!
One comment had some weight to it. "Consider that the Constitution is only 6 pages long and can be condensed into wallet size and has been a source of wisdom through all these years. If that is effective, why does a health bill need to be 1000 plus pages."

(I tried reading some of the bill.... but my real beef is the "Get 'er done, now" mentality. A reform would be great, but not force fed again.)

** A friend shared that she was checking out at the grocery store, realized her wallet was in her husbands car, at work. She apologized to the cashier and knew some of the stuff would need to be restocked. However, the lady behind her insisted on paying for the groceries and would not give any personal info for reimbursement.

** My friend, Lisa, posted a great video to view. This Should Keep Us All Thinking It tells the story of a professor that was known to intimidate and berate students who believed in God.
A friend of Lisa made this comment..."As a teenager, whenever I would argue my faith as an atheist, I would have a vitriolic, condescending, angry attitude. Then one day I ask myself, "If there is no God, then why am I so mad at him?" That question started his journey to know and love God.

Keeping in touch and encouraged, is a Face Book benefit.

Lightening Strike

We have 2 huge trees in our small backyard,
But this one is actually on the golf course,
and has been struck by lightening several times.
Last night when lightening struck it,
(the lightening) bounce over the side of our house,
causing our master bathroom,
formal dining room, pantry and one lamp outlet to loose
power. Then it jumped across two rooms and took the garage
refrigerator out.
It was crazy loud, with a whistling sound afterwards.
I waited on my handy man to get home, but the breaker
won't reset and needs a professional.
All I can say is stay tough tree, and stand your ground.
It is a monster beside our house and needs to stay put!

Something Borrowed, Something Blue!

Marcus & Debby
July 26, 1974

Mini facts:
For H.S. Graduation I received 2 pair contact lens,
Chose a green pair and blue pair
By College graduation, I was down to 1 green tint and 1 blue tint.
While in college, unknown to me, my Dad got false teeth.
Cleaned teeth in Parkay Butter bowl.

So, unlike brides today, I did my hair myself,
(I know you can tell)
So off I go into our only bathroom, but forget my contact case.
Hey, will just put them in the parkay bowl, no problem.

Went to curl my hair and sit under my hood dryer.
Meanwhile, Dad went in to clean his teeth.
I went to get my contacts, "Hey who messed with the
parkay bowl?"
Dad told me that was his bowl, and he cleaned his teeth.
No glasses, a real headache will come my way.
Marc saws the old pipes apart to no avail.

My sister, Kathy, had her contacts, but not wearing them.
No such thing as contacts available in the Dr. office.
A bit blurry, but I wore my sister blue contacts and
did not have a headache.

That was my something borrowed, something blue.
